George Edwards

George Edwards has been involved with the Brooklyn Food Coalition since the summer of 2010. Currently he works for the New York City Department of Education; he is also an Adjunct Instructor in the Culinary Arts department of Kingsborough Community College. In addition, George is a graduate student at New York University in the Food Studies department, with a concentration in food systems.

Hilary Papineau

Conference Programming Committee Co-Chair

Hilary Papineau is a dedicated advocate for a healthy, sustainable, and equitable food system. Hilary moved to Brooklyn two years ago and is a resident of Prospect Lefferts Gardens where she is active in her local community. Hilary has a strong interest in youth issues and is committed to empowering and engaging younger generations in the food movement. Hilary is a certified urban planner through the American Planning Association (APA). She currently works for the City of New York in a research capacity. Hilary grew up in the Adirondacks and is an avid hiker, biker, and skier.

Winton Wedderburn

Conference Marketing Committee Chair

Winton became involved with the Brooklyn Food Coalition while completing his Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Education from Hunter College in 2009. He is interested in studying and developing health communication strategies around food and nutrition using web technology and social media. An immigrant of Jamaica, Winton grew up in Paterson, NJ and currently resides in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
